About Us

At Mindful Henna, we Empower Women and Young girls through the Transformative Power of Henna, Mindfulness, and Holistic Healing. Our mission is to cultivate self-love, body confidence, and emotional well-being in a safe and nurturing space.

We offer workshops and one-on-one sessions that blend mindfulness, meditation, and breath work with henna art. These sessions help participants connect with their inner selves, release emotional blockages, and embrace the present moment. Henna becomes more than just an art form, it serves as a therapeutic tool for self-expression, self-acceptance, and inner healing.

Rooted in heritage, our approach honors the ancient symbolism of henna as a source of protection and renewal. We guide individuals in connecting with the natural energy of the henna plant, allowing them to feel more grounded, centered, and in harmony with their bodies.

Beyond art and healing, Mindful Henna creates a strong sense of community. We provide a welcoming, inclusive space where women can share their stories, find support, and rediscover their strength and beauty. Whether through personal reflection or collective experiences, our work fosters a deep connection to self and others. Through transformational experiences, they are able to receive abundance and joy.

Our Founder

Sam Hussain is an experienced Henna Art Therapist and Intuitive Life Coach, dedicated to helping people find balance and healing by connecting the heart, mind, and body. With a wealth of knowledge in holistic techniques including mindfulness, Breathwork, meditation, Energy healing and Creative expression. Sam guides individuals on a transformative journey toward self-discovery and emotional well-being.

Known for her compassionate and grounding presence, Sam creates and holds safe, nurturing spaces where people can release low-vibration energy such as fear, doubt, pain and emotional heaviness and instead invite in a sense of safety, vitality, clarity, and peace of mind. Through this powerful process, Sam empowers women and young people to embrace their authentic selves, fostering inner peace, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose, allowing them to live more fulfilled and joyful lives.

Mindful Henna collaboration with Cardiff University SPARCS

Mindful Henna collaborated with Cardiff University SPARCS to connect people with Cardiff’s creative community. We held henna sessions at the Remaker Space, celebrating cultural diversity and artistic expression.

These sessions focused on young people with additional needs, using henna and batik to enhance well-being and mental health. We also engaged marginalized women, helping them develop skills as henna artists. This was funded by Arts Council Wales as part of the Rekindle and Inspire project.

Henna, also known as ‘mehndi’ in South Asian culture, has a rich and diverse history spanning thousands of years.
